My character circumnavigates the issue by snipping the shoulders of his tank top open, sliding it on from the legs, and then reattaching the shoulders with mending.
Having no way to come to terms with his trauma, and being forcibly calmed rather than persuaded during relapses, my neutral character is progressively becoming more evil.
I'd simply argue that lungs are too convoluted in their layout to be considered a container. Mouth is theoretically not an open container because it has multiple openings.
