I have recently found myself in debates about the fedipact and corporate influence. The fact that fedipact exists and I had the counter arguments and participants handy, was great. But there is more evil out there, mostly hierarchical thinking (up to speciecism imo) which leads to consumerism, destruction of our climate and more.

Imo, the rise of corporate control and surveilance (-capitalism) gives both power to autocracy (bc corporations are autocracies which influence people around them into thinking its fine) and facilitates loss of empathy for fellow humans and other living creatures.

So I began searching if there is a movement which is just anti corporate. The only one I found was occupy but it hasnt made any news for years. No big deal I thought since it has been around since 1920 so it might come back.

The wikipedia article shows occupy as having no hierarchical structure so it reminded me of anarchism in a way. Since my last post over in .ml was deleted by a mod, I hope I have shown why this is in fact an anarchism topic.

Feel free to disagree or elaborate, I'm here to learn.

The martyrs constitute a force in the present for all who live and continue to struggle. Aaron framed his self-immolation as “not that extreme” compared to the ascension to martyrdom of tens of thousands in Gaza. By implying that Aaron’s choice was too extreme, the Outlet dishonors the reality of the struggle within Palestine and undercuts the potential of Aaron’s sacrifice.

I remember being really disappointed that the mods there refused to leave reddit during the protests last June. Today I happened to check reddit and I see the engagement appears to have plummeted.

They also seem to refuse accepting my signup request. when I tried searching "lemmygrad" locally, I found relevant only this comment from captain @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com appearing on the attached screenshot. I tried to follow the comment's post but it is not to be found. Just wanted to know the lore.

Born on December 9, 1842 into an aristocratic family in Tsarist Russia, Peter Kropotkin developed radical ideas in the course of his scientific research. In 1874, a few hours after he presented a well-received report regarding glacial formations to the Geographical Society, he was arrested and accused of subversive activity. The following narrative, derived from his own memoir and other historical documents, details his escape from a St. Petersburg prison two years later.
