Blizzard Games are coming to Steam
Being able to see exact number of players playing could be an interesting metric Blizz might not be wanting to share when it comes to WoW, wondering if we'll ever see it on Steam.
It provably will require Blizzard's launcher so why even bother?
Still easier to manage than a gazillion battlenet launcher instances on Lutris.
They already said Overwatch 2 won't require Battle.net.
That is exciting...I really dislike battlenet. The most recent UI redesign is awful.

So when they predict sales would increase by more than 30% I presume, if Valve still takes 40%.
When I tried to get the Xbox Indie Games XNA kit it said you got a quarter for every dollar sold on the indie games store back on the 360
Valve hasn't ever taken 40%. Their cut starts at 30% and drops to 20% after some gross sales threshold. Also steam keys have zero cut and half of your total steam platform sales can be keys meaning if you're effective at selling keys you can have an effectively 10% cut.
They don't. Last I checked, Valve takes 30% or less (depends on the product's sales)
Obviously won't happen, but it would be fun to have WoW's game time imported into Steam and watch everybody's game time go through the roof.
but of course, if you already bought the game on bnet, you’ll have to buy it again via steam.
Bought? Its Free 2 Play. It still requires a bnet login, so you don't even need to rebuy cosmetics/skins.
ah! I didn’t know that. I was actually thinking about Diablo though and all my other bnet games. I think they won’t send out steam keys… I’d like to make them easier to play on the Steam Deck.
I presume Diablo 4 will be next considering how many people are already playing it on Steam Deck.
Is HotS included?
Does blizzard even claim HotS anymore? :(

God, HotS with even a little developer support + steam deck w/ a good controller scheme would bring me back so hard. Still the best Moba imo, so sad it got abandoned
