It's weird, it's like an extra end was somehow added on. It all still somehow connects to the 8-pin on the other side which looks normal. It's really confusing my mind like one of those infinite stairs puzzles.
They are the cables that connect the PSU to the GPU, and it came with this messed up one and two proper ones, I am assuming that it's a manufacturing defect.
The manual is literally only 1.5 pages (in English at least, it's an actual book with seemingly every language known).
The 1.5 pages only point out the power input for the PSU supply, the on/off switch, and the special button for the fan. It doesn't even show the layout for the other side with all the plugs.
Can't say I'm terribly impressed with ROG right now.
You should be able to use a paper clip or staple to pop the pins out of the connector so that you can detangle that cable. There are guides on YouTube that can show you how. Takes seconds to do and you can pop the pins right back in when you're done.
Thanks, I might do that. Didn't think it would be that easy.
Seems easier than Asus product support which is just a giant train of text-laden webpages bragging about themselves and nothing really helpful in getting support. Have to create an account just to contact live support online instead of calling...
Kind of want them to send me a new one though so it costs them something and their hostile website design fails to save them money lol
