Not being assaulted by ads 24/7 was definitely one of the best aspects of growing up in the Soviet Union

In their defense, not seeing ads probably was the best thing about living in the USSR.
- There were ads. Source: born in USSR.
  
  Out of curiosity, in your experience was it mostly government ads (or propaganda depending on the content ig) or corporate advertising like we get so much of in the world now?
