Stanley, it's time to stop pressing buttons, go back to your wife.
43ReplyThat was a big joke in the Jetsons though. His day was literally sitting at a desk poking a button and he was apparently bad enough at it that his boss was constantly up his ass about it.
37ReplyHow well does The Jetsons hold up you think?

36ReplyThat was a fun time, now I'm at the stage of conveying the concept of hobbies that can also be careers and learning for fun
"Why are you in the black window! You're not working!"
"Sometimes the black window is work and sometimes it's my own project I'm doing for fun or learning"
"Why are you learning, you don't go-to school anymore!"
"Because it's fun to learn new things, even when I'm not made to"
"That sounds like work still"
31Reply"It's just like work, except I don't get paid, and nobody is helping me."
12ReplyAs opposed to hardly getting paid and nobody helping you.
10ReplyI get more help from others when I'm writing software for fun than for work.

8ReplyGovernments don't want a population capable of critical thinking, they want obedient workers, people just smart enough to run the machines and just dumb enough to passively accept their situation.
