Reminds me of that Windows 9x tube screensaver.
27ReplyYeah same actually, now that you mention it
6ReplyI first saw the post, liked it but didn't look at the comments. Just came back and I didn't see this thread but I saw the other more recent comment about the sense of familiarity. Went back to look at the art again and that's when the windows wallpaper connection happened, and then I saw these comments.
I'd love a loooong version of this for a spot in my house for which I struggle to find something.

This always comes up when people look at my stuff. Love it! I definitely watched quite a lot of that screensaver.

Love this!
5ReplyThere was a guy on public access TV that used to draw sci-fi scenes using tubes. This reminds me of that. Thank you.
Also I like how it looks almost like yarn. It’s a pleasant texture.
4ReplyMark Kistler? If so, I loved watching that when I was a kid.
1ReplyI think it was a little before his time. His stuff is good though
1ReplyOh my God Secret City, I haven't thought about that show in ages.

There's something both unique and familiar about this work. It's kinda exhilarating, to be honest. It's enigmatic, too.
3ReplyLove this, getting Yellow Submarine / Terry Gilliam vibes from it!
3ReplyCopics and felt tip? I dig it. Kinda looks like Tetsuo is coming for you =) My favorite part is all the little stippling =)
3ReplyI did this one with inks. Brush for the colors, dip pen (and a bit of brush) for the black.

It's trippy, I love it
3ReplyI hope there's a teapot hidden in there somewhere.
