Former UFC champion Conor McGregor is entering the political arena, revealing plans to run for the presidency of Ireland in 2025.

Endorsed by Elon and Andrew Tate! He is, in his own words: "the only logical choice".

What could possibly go wrong having a narcissistic hyper aggressive idiot that wants to dissolve parliament in charge?

Well they've had a kind, down-to-earth president for a while. Time to bring in an absolute shithead for a change.

If we're going to be running minor celebrities for the Irish presidency, the only real choice is Blindboy Boatclub.

I know nothing about Ireland politics. But is it me that's jaded or this looks like puppet president?
- Well, he certainly would be whether he realised it or not - if by that you mean easily manipulated by outside interests (like musk and god knows who else)
  
  I think Musk is another puppet when it comes to X (SpaceX, Tesla and Neuralink not necessarily IMO). It's interesting how the message of both is "I'll make world easier by reducing number of people and processes". And it seems such language gets following
- President is a largely ceremonial role, the Taoiseach is the head of government and the decision making position.
