[GmanLives] Space Marine 2 Is Really Good And You Should Play It

Except for the bugs, and it's not very fun without friends, especially since it's still early release right now for the people who bought the $80+ version. Everyone else has to wait till the 9th.

It's combat so far has been 50/50 me.

Sometimes everything works smoothly and it's incredibly satisfying to mop the floor with 100s of xenos. It makes me cackle like a maniac and RP out loud as Titus.

Other moments it's just pure clunky-slow feeling and completely tilting. Like you're hack and slashing your heart out, and its giving you the cues for dodge or parry/block, but you're already way too deep into queued up combos, so spamming C or space to react to them does nothing. So you just get stun locked non stop until you can finally roll away, likely being nearly 1 HP. Then you have to scramble to hope there's Xenos in execute range to fill back armor.

Like it tries to make itself a precise timing reaction style combat game, but then made it's combat clunky and slow since you're a hulking space marine, so it's never consistent if you can actually do precise timings?!

Also, wtf is making me turn green?! It's infuriating for an enemy to do what I assume is poison me, and then everything is green and muffled for what feels like minutes, and I can't see shit to find and shoot whatever it was that made me green!

GORGEOUS game, and man does it run smoothly without any problems on my 5800X3D and 6800 XT. Incredibly immersive!

Meh.

Would have been better with Mark Strong.
