GOP Politician to Pay $200,000 for Defaming Drag Performers
A New Hampshire state representative who was sued by two drag queens for defaming them has settled the case for a whopping $200,000.
An idea: use some of that money to start or contribute to a legal defense fund for drags and queer people.
There's so much lies and hate in some places/groups. If more victims had access to a decent lawer to defend themselves, politicians would think twice before launching random accusations.
10They had to sue him, so they likely have to pay off their own 2 years of legal bills. 100k/each isn't going to do much after that, and especially if it has to make up lost wages or income after a state legislator publicly called you a sex offender.
I think it's okay for these proud and fierce people to just take care of themselves in this one.
