If we lose here it's basically over. There's no way we can expect City to drop that many points. And Newcastle have been woeful this season, there's no reason not to beat them
Well that was a dog shit performance from us for the entirety of that first half. Absolutely and utterly not good enough. Our second half and the three points all depend on how brave Arteta can be. Otherwise our title hopes are looking like they're gonna slip away.
I'm just watching this as if I'm a neutral now cuz fucking hell I'm not wanting to be angry about us right now. And I will be, so much will be, when we actually lose.
I want Nwaneri at half-time, no one looks up for this game and there's not the creativity we need to find something. Problem is he's not exactly physically gonna be able to match up I feel.
That longball for Timber shows the problems with this team. Two centre forwards on the pitch and neither playing centrally. Swap Trosaard for Nwaneri and push Havertz up
Trossard has just not looked great has he. I'm honestly not sure why he still starts, tbh; nor why we still are trying this four four fucking two shit.
Honestly for a while he was doing really well to help lead the press with Havertz. But either he's tired or he's lost the spark; he isn't scoring and he isn't really helping out too much creatively either.
Do you have any regrets on your actions at Newcastle last year?
M: That’s part of the past and part of the situation that happened. You learn from it and you take a lot of positives as well. We moved on.
Do you think your comments worked?
M: My intention is not that the comments worked. I had to say what I felt on the day.
Have the standards of refereeing improved?
M: They are certainly trying their best.
I accept that, but I think 15 minutes is more than enough time to demonstrate whether you're going to make amends. He always waits til 70 to change things up and it's hurt us a lot this season. I assume because teams have us more figured out.
