[Prime/GOG] Prime games that I do not wish to claim for myself
I got Amazon Prime Gaming for free for a month. I claimed a few games I liked but there were many that I didn't want. So, I am giving away some GOG keys. Here's a list of games I haven't claimed:
Once I give you the key, copy-paste the here, and claim it.
Install the game like you normally would. If you are a linux user, I recommend using Heroic Games Launcher, to download and install it, it has a nice interface and even supports controller navigation.
Prerequisites:
One user can claim only one game.
Your account must be at least 3 days old.
Yes, you will still own the game even when my Prime ends.
I've tried off and on for the past 20 years to figure out how to use linux.
So far everytime I do, SOMETHING goes wrong. Something small. Probably something you wouldn't even think is a problem. Just "oh, the audio is muted. Just do this thing to adjust it".
Me? 3 hours later, patch of pulled out hair after having read several incorrect solutions online.
And the problem is, I understand there's a problem. But without understanding the core concept of how to do things, simple troubleshooting starts in terminal, and ends with me punching walls until my knuckles bleed.
To put this in perspective, I've been trying to turn on the fan in my raspberry pi case now for about 4 years. It used to come on. Then something else unrelated happened, and I was told to update all, upgrade all.
FYI this community isn't really for giving away keys, I see you've also posted to !games@lemmy.world which I'd say is probably best for the future.
For anyone else wanting one of the games that's already gone, if you can get yourself a free trial of Amazon Prime then you should be able to claim them all yourself.
Fair point, though technically this is a quantity-limited giveaway rather than a time-limited giveaway!
That said, it seems to have been a pretty popular post. My only concern was that the community gets flooded with posts that only one person can benefit from, but if it's all stuff like this then I can't see a problem.
