I wish we in the US could get in on that. I want an electric pickup but I don't have $110k to spend on one.

I even considered getting an F-150 lightning at their original stated MSRP of $35k, but that never materialized. I'm not even into trucks, but that was a good price.

The salesman at our local Ford dealership was bragging about how his dealership puts a $50k markup on all new Lightnings that hit their lot.
I left and never plan on going back to that one ever again.
Ford supposedly doesn’t like dealerships doing that but I’ve heard of tons of similar stories all over the US.
It’s really crappy we can’t just get a vehicle at a decent price without all the unnecessary bullshit.

Chinese developed a domestic market so good these corpo parasite now wants tariffs to block imports.
Between automakers, boeing and intel... like bro... some heads gonna need to roll, we lost out competitive advantages so some limp dick boomer "owners" can live their best lives.
China developed dominance in this market through extensive subsidies (direct and indirect) and barriers to foreign importers.
Many countries have done this in the past (United States included), so their complaints fall rather flat.
However, I'm curious how long this will last. Excess production, weak domestic demand and trade partners being unwilling to absorb trade deficits are not sustainable.

Bullshit, German carmakers also have production in China with partial ownership of Chinese brands, and all Tesla sold in Europe are made in China.

It's not where the car manufactured that's important it's where it's designed.
Western car makers both in the US and Europe insist on making electric vehicles that are hugely high-end and out of the price range for most people. We need electric 5 seat hatchbacks.
The only moderately reasonable electric vehicle from a major Western manufacturer is the F-150 Lightning and that's not even available in Europe because frankly it's a stupid buy for Europeans.
