2- cut dopamine drips out of your life for a short time. If the object is easily accessible and causes pleasure without effort, remove it.
- Work out. Get used to listening to your body at its absolute limits and take pride in the steady progress of your physical self
- reintroduce the stuff that actually brings you joy
Much easier to moderate your consumption when you’ve spent some time without.
5Adding to this, finding/reconnecting with something that you love to do works wonders. For me, I found music, the joy of preforming and writing is incredible. Maybe art is something you love, it could be cooking, it could be skiing- whatever you can find to love it will make every day brighter. The hard part is finding that thing, but because your the person who knows you best, your the best person to find what you love.
