not that i'm complaining , just curious. why not federated with lemmy.world?

- Some instances fully defederated and some defederated specifically from the massive instances (mainly lemmy.world, lemmy.ml, and the shit just works one that I don’t remember where the periods go). The reasoning was the massive influx of users was causing performance issues and quality drop in posts. They plan to re-federate once things are more figured out.

- Instance admins tend to block other instances that don't align with their countries legal system, personal viewpoints, or just because. Just wondering if I'm missing out on anything major.

FWIW - lemmy.world can still see posts on the instances that defederated - they just can't see us. Like lemmy.world got shadowbanned
