The encrypted messaging app Signal has stopped responding to requests from Ukrainian law enforcement regarding Russian cyberthreats, a Ukrainian official claimed, warning that the shift is aiding Moscow’s intelligence efforts.
OP, why? There is almost no info in that post, it's basically Ukrainian official claiming that Signal used to help them with phishing and account takeover (how? This doesn't sound likely to be something that the Signal team can technique help with) And the Signal team claiming that they have never worked with any government and that nothing changed.
So either the Ukrainian official is lying or confused. Or the Signal team used to actually go a step further to support Ukraine but now stopped.
In either case this is not anti-ukraine or pro-russian, at worst this is neither.
And to be fair, I don't think Signal should get involved in politics at all, even when there is a clearly wrong side. The Signal app should be strictly a high security and high privacy, accessible messenger. For all.
