Ticking the inside of your ear and nose is the worst. It's great that I call it the same thing. Whatever you choose to do with that hair you're beautiful.
I stopped washing everyday and my scalp thanks me for it. I was my hair about every 5 to 7 days. Unless I'm out hiking and sweating a lot or I just get really dirty but on normal weeks is like 5 days. I've got super thick hair as well so ya drying can very a real chore. I do make sure to put some oil in it once it's dry though. How do I post a picture so everyone can see?
I've grown and cut my hair several times before I started balding, from my experience, hair in the eyes is the start of the awkward stage, and hair in the mouth is when you're at the end of it
I would say I only need a further 2cm for the eyes to happen, but my hair is rather floofy and needs to be a lot longer to actually fall down on my face
Oh you'll love how warm your neck is with the hair! Seriously, try lifting the hair from there when it's cold, you'll def notice how much it protects you from the cold!
The awkward phases can be very annoying but it's definitely worth it to battle through them. The first time I grew my hair I cut it because I couldn't stand it getting in my eyes all the time. I definitely regret that. It's past my shoulders now though and it's amazing.
I tucked my hair into a beanie completely for a long time. It looked more feminine to me, since I'd only ever seen women tuck all of their hair into one. Now it's long enough for a bun, but every day I want more of it! And... Do get it trimmed to help it grow healthily, my hair is so split I'm afraid I will need a chop.
When I was growing mine it was the pandemic so I didn't have to really deal with the awkward phase, but I sadly discovered that my hair is EXTREMELY oily and it would get dirty in one day, so I'd need to wash it at least daily, if not more when it got hot and I started to sweat, so I gave up on it
Lol I remember when I was at that point a few years ago. I was super worried about it but then COVID happened and I didn't have to go outside for any of it...
