  • Yeah but Bill Gates is going to give away his multi billion fortune before his death you know! On his own terms and conditions! There are good billionaires you know!

    • I think we can fit in an exception. "good" billionaires don't get executed and are sent to live on penal colonies in space under strict supervision with 10 hour work days and no vacation or sick-time. Rest are mulched.

Even then, Bill Gates ain't a good billionaire. The amount of damage he has done doesn't even compare to the money he gives away after death.

  • It's beyond me how the majority of people aren't yearning for a change in the world, especially as of late and the obvious growing inequalities. Where is their rage? Where is the violent justice? Revolution! Revolution!

  • I'm starting to think that feds are spamming the "TAX" idea as a distraction. If you genuinely believe that "taxing the rich" will get us Communism then you need to read more. "The Principles of Communism", "Wage Labour and Capital" and "The Communist Manifesto" are good starting points.

  • Should compare the wealth of billionaires to the wealth of the middle and lower class. The point still holds true but people can't accuse you of comparing apples to oranges.

  • @bigspoon I don't like advocating for evil, but this meme is pure "Oh look, these three found a way to make shitton of money. They should be earning that for everyone else!"

I don't know... replace the three panels with inflation rate, minimum wage rate, lifestyle quality and it becomes more than alarming in my eyes as well.

Sure, tax the rich might be the solution. But those guys couldn't and shouldn't give a shit about how much poor people make.

  • But you could also argue against a minimum wage because it is often used to lower the overall income of the working class by freezing the wage of other jobs until they reach the minimum wage level, lowering the total real income of the working class. I think Joti Brar talked about this once with the example of the minimum wage in the UK.
