The whole thing hangs off the rule of law. There aren’t enough cops to control the population, it only works because the population controls itself because they accept the rule of law. If the cops go rogue or the politicians, eventually the belief in the rule falters then chaos.

If you forget that you are public servants, and you ignore our Constitutional rights, then you have no authority under that same Constitution.
If you hit one of us, then we are going to hit back, and we outnumber you 50-1. If you let the dogs loose on us, then we will kill the dogs, and the officer that looses them, as this is a lethal action with the intent of bodily harm.
If you gas us, or shoot us with "less lethal" weapons, then we will defend ourselves with as much force as necessary. We are exercising our rights as citizens, you are public servants with the express purpose of protecting citizens and upholding our rights. Police authority is written on the back of the social contract that enshrines our rights. You can't rip up one without ripping up the other.

PS. Every protestor there ought to show up with an open carry, preferably a longarm.

I'm not sure what the intended effect of this statement is... But what I can tell you, is that bringing firearms to Florida protest seems to be mandatory. The police should be shot on sight during an escalation. Because if you don't, they are gonna use any excuse to do the same to us. The rule of law only works if we can all agree to not murder each other.

- Open carry rifles is probably the best way to keep the cops from escalating. If any group is planning on having open carry members, make sure they aren't plants and make sure they know proper trigger discipline. Make sure that no media sees them taking aim first or idly fingering the trigger. Do not have them in the middle of the group. Make sure that they are prepped to answer any questions clearly and directly to any press.

  slight difference in de-escalation training though. Our police has years of civil-work-courses before they are allowed on the streets. Also gun culture is night and day, cops here dont feel urged to use lethal force, because criminals most of the times are unarmed here

Well, you heard it here. It's perfectly fine to shoot cops with AR-15s if they shoot you with rubber bullets. If they can kill you for tossing a brick, you can kill them for shooting people unprovoked with "less lethal" munitions. Those rubber bullets are just as dangerous as bricks, and the cops are shooting them with impunity. By their own logic, any officer that shoots a rubber bullet at someone deserves to have their head blown off.

Here's the fact: one way or another they finally put someone who is mentally insane enough to push their policies, into the Whitehouse. Now that he's there, they will push their beliefs onto everyone as a matter of law. If you obey the law, they'll win by default since the laws are currently theirs to control. If you protest and revolt, it's a violent terrorist insurrection that must be quelled, and you become a military dictatorship and the same outcome happens as before, but now with more guns and violence. You can't win by doing nothing. You can't win by doing something.

Also, "they" in this context is the people who have long since bought and paid for the house, the Senate, the supreme Court, the police, the feds.... They're the corporate interests that are hostile to your continued existence and freedom. You can exist but only as they permit. Freedom is actively being robbed from the American people.

Punishment is done by the courts. Not a police job.

It's not nice of him to say it like that, but that's pretty much what everyone knows cops are doing. I don't think anyone expects a different outcome.
One could argue a peaceful protest is different from a riot and cops shouldn't kill peaceful protesters, but there's always a chance they will.
If someone wants zero risk, they can only do short operations that don't need much media coverage to be effective and without a chance for the cops to be present or find them afterwards.
- All of those situations can be avoided by them not ordering their officers to show up and harass the protesters. If the cops actually stayed out of the way and allowed them to peacefully protest, there is never a point where anyone should get spit on, hit, or threatened. Then again, if police weren't treating everyone as criminals all the time, it would severely reduce the number of officers they would need.
  Partly because of respect, and partly because when you aren't harassing the population, they don't have as many reasons to react.

  the only way to end this spiral, would be for protesters to instantly take down rioters among themselves, disperse and go home, so it would become a rare exception for riots to start and police would no longer show up after a few years. but is this realistic? even if some groups manage to do that, others won't. also police could always send instigators who throw the first brick, then leave, so their colleagues have a reason to kill some protesters

  the decision to make it was, that i don't like to watch ppl get hurt and know there are more effective ways, which spoil if one mentions them too publicly. So ppl have to come up with them privately, so the cops can't expect and hurt them.

I mean, I was half joking (taking into account the events in LA and seeing pictures/video of unarmed folk getting shot/assaulted) when I made this, but as usual Florida manages to meet and even exceed my satirical expectations…
