I don't see the appeal with slimmer phones when phones already are slim. I would be more interested to see a smaller but thicker phone, wouldn't trade battery life for a slimmer phone
Is the phone really an “Air” if the camera bump sticks out just as much as the other models?
I'm super curious to see how big the market is for a slightly slimmer phone with a battery that won't make it through the whole day.
- There was a market for iPhone Minis but Apple abandoned them anyway. I think Apple has some throwaway budget to give these things a spin to see if they stick. Pro Max did.
  
  Yeah there are a lot of good reasons to want smaller outer dimensions, but a couple mm slimmer with worse battery life? I struggle to see who this would be a good trade off for.

  I think it didn't work out well for Samsung... so i guess, not a big market? Phones are already super thin... why not make a (slightly) thicker one and put a massive battery, better cooling system, headphone jack and whatnot in it?
  
  if you want longer battery life you can add a battery pack, but you can't go backwards to make a slimmer phone if that's what you prefer.
  
  That's certainly what I'd prefer.
