I personally find social pressure to be the biggest hazard. As a addict if I fall for social pressure once then its very easy to totally fall off the wagon for the next few days.
If someone just jumps into strict carnivore from a standard diet, they are going to have a rough two weeks; This might be the way for some people, but they should know what the transition looks like before hand.

all at once... its going to be quite the few weeks! Each single change on the list has a adaptation window....
When I give up coffee by itself I go through two weeks of headaches...
I've often thought a resort/retreat to help people jump start a big diet change would be helpful for the addicts who need keto/carnivore. i.e. go to a new location for a month to break the old patterns and find the new baseline.
The number of times my friends have said "Cheat day" when we go out to eat... its not helpful.
Sugar wasn't that hard for me, but industrially processed oils are in everything when eating out, it's nearly impossible to avoid.
Don't sweat the small stuff. The bad oils on the grill are small in comparison to the steak. The danger of those oils is only visible in people who eat a lot of it
The really good thing about giving up industrial oil is it isn't addictive, so you don't have cravings!
