- Given that you didn't specify any alternatives, I can vouch for Kagi. It has been working very well and they also have a family plan.
  
  duckduckgo or ecosia for a free alternative.
  i haven't used ecosia enough to endorse it but it seems good. duckduckgo is pretty good with results imo, and the bangs make it really useful.
  
  I've tried Kagi a few times and have been unimpressed. All it needs to be is better than Google, which is an extremely low bar.
