The Forgotten Weapons article has a "Part 3" YouTube video, but unfortunately does not link to the first two parts that I see. Nor does the YouTube video description appear to do so.
I believe that these are all three:
What was the Ruger comment reference about?
Bill Ruger made comments supporting magazine capacity bans.
Wait someone died to a 320 recently? How the fuck is anyone still putting live rounds in these things?
There are a lot of people still irrationally defending this gun. Its like if Trump were a firearm
It's the standard issue sidearm of the U.S. military. It was an Airman with an issued pistol that died.
Yeah this is exactly what I said the last time this happened. There's so much speculation about the cause but at this point it doesn't even matter!
So if your only pistol was the m18 and you were a civilian, what would you replace it with?
If you like striker guns, there are plenty on the market. Glock is certainly the old reliable choice, although there are plenty of like M&P's offerings.
If you're open to other mechanisms, that really opens things up. It depends on if it's meant to be a carried gun or some other criteria which would help narrow it down. For a carry gun I lean towards something smaller even if it sacrifices the best comfort when shooting. I'd rather something easier to actually carry. For that I like the LCPMAX. It's double action only, which gives it the same simplicity and consistency as a striker. Even though it's DAO, the trigger pull is actually pretty similar to a Glock's weight. It is in .380 though, so if you want to keep all your current 9mm you can go for the slightly larger LC9.
I carry my LCP Max sometimes. 10+1 rounds, though only .380. I like the form factor and weight and front tritium sight. Still, I'd rather carry my 9mm Ruger, but I'm a small guy, little harder to conceal. LOL, if I was a full-sized dude I'd carry my Colt .45!
The problem is you can't just quietly phase out the service pistol of the entire US Armed Forces the way he says at the end, as if it's the Remington R51. They've delivered hundreds of thousands of pistols to the military at this point.
I just don't see this going well for SIG no matter what, especially considering the cocky, rabid, litigious way they've responded to this problem.
You can't do a recall or phase out quietly. However we are long past the quiet fix stage.
