If I'm lucky I won't have to work today.

    Enjoying some positives this week - finally getting over some bug I’ve had since Sunday, working on renewing one of my work certs and ordered a new game controller coming in the mail sometime next week.

    I’m excited to have a dedicated controller for PC/emulators since I lost my Steam Controller dongle years ago and it’s a pain to pair my JoyCons regularly (first-world problem I’m grateful to have).

    My head is still spinning from it being August already. That might just be part of getting older, though.

    What do you plan to do today if you end up having it free? (If you feel comfortable sharing, of course)

    • I survived the License office!

    • I'm trying to get over a mental hurdle, so I can go to get my driver's license renewed. Failing that probably catching up on some shows, playing my penny whistle, and playing Baldurs gate. And then grocery shopping this evening.

  • My first day out of contract work in five years, nothing concrete on the horizon, I have 1 month worth of funds

    Autists have the worst employment outcomes of ALL minorities. ALL. No one fucking gets that. Old neurotypical black women (the historically hardest to be employed segment) have more statistical likelihood to find employment than an autist of nearly every segment.

    The ONLY metric that transgresses these depressingly rigid criteria is wealth, which being autists have a 30% lower accrued wealth statistically for a variety of self-reinforcing reasons means that I am so fucking tired of fighting uphill for what everyone else just gets

    Add on top of that my video feeds are now flooded with attractive, marketable autistic 'content creators' giving ridiculously bad vibe based advice and making hundreds of thousands of dollars showcasing the very thing that has made EVERYTHING in my life harder.

    I am so tired and angry and everyone on lemmy is a fucking asshole for the last 3 months, and I've been mod harassed by a fucking supermod for at least that time tha the admis constantly refuse to do anything about and if I could break the universe in half with my hands right now I would do it without hesitation without a fucking thought for the rest of you.
