I've just taken the approach of supporting who's the least insane to keep life livable and making the cases for alternative candidates between.
Most American alternative options are just so fucking quiet between elections that when one comes around they fall into the "wtf is that?" bucket.
Only one that's had a snowballs chance in hell that I remember was Ross Perot in the 90s.
Ironically people in this sub have the same enlightened centrist view point they are laughing at. Harm minimization isn't the goal but it does matter, and they're letting our movement down overall.
