At first my fat ass thought it was a giant fountain-soda lid
AM/PM in the 90s when they let you come in and get a fountain drink refill in literally any container. I bet at least 1 person filled a microwave. 🤣
Such glorious madness I saw the tail end of this when I was a right little kid, I was with my uncle and we go into an AM/PM at like 6 in the morning and he fills one of those semi clear water jugs for like water coolers with Mountain Dew. Don't know how much he paid cause I was like 3 but it was great.
My friend Pat and I used to remove labels from cans in people’s pantries at university.
This is so delightfully evil. My girl and I laughed like chimpanzees.
Insidious. I'm going to be needing that back though
I'd say the oven racks are more diabolical. Take those instead.
Just cut whatever power cords you come across.
But unplug them first!
Peter... Explain the joke.
A microwave plate is the part that spins during heating. It can be removed so it’s easier to clean. Removing it means that food will potentially heat unevenly and there’s usually a gear that the plate attaches to sticking out of the floor like a wart. Anything being heated will have to balance or lean on a slowly spinning gear which will potentially cause other problems.
That's the joke?
You reminded me that some have a full bladed structure on wheels attached to that gear as a means of spinning the plate. Pulling this prank on one of those models would be even more diabolical.
There's just something about the level of autism about microwave dimensions and the plate ordering process on Lemmy is delightful.
Jokes on you, my microwave doesn't use a plate at all
