Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers celebrates third victory against California electric truck, emissions rules

Just a moment...
So let me get this straight: Nebraska has been leading the fight... In increasing air pollution.
This guy is proud of this‽
...but I get it: Where does it end? All these pollution controls‽ If we take this all the way to its logical conclusion, trucks will all be electric—emitting zero pollution—and then what will Nebraska do?
Wait: I still don't get it.
How does he even have standing to block California emissions regulations? Nebraska can choose to follow the more lax federal rules.
And this is not just California. Like 40% of the population has chosen California emissions rules as our only allowed choice over the lax federal rules. What happened to our “states rights”? I’m already frustrated that Teslas first round of announced public Megacharger stations for trucks don’t include any here
To be fair to him, trucks CAN run on corn-based fuel, which is heavily subsidized and a major crop in Nebraska. Take away that revenue source for a major employer in his state, and then what will they do?
I mean, they could use all the land they have to create green energy with wind, sun, hydro, geothermal, or nuclear and then sell that energy to bigger states that is "sent" via the massive electrical grid enhancement designed to do just that and started under Biden... Oh, wait, Nebraska voted for Trump who just killed that project.
