If there's any interest on her part, then there's no reason it shouldn't. Doing it this way says you're probably a bit shy, but she's interesting enough to you for you to take the gamble on trying to connect anyway - many would think that's cute & flattering. The fact you're trying to be considerate of the potential pressure she might feel from being put in the spot if approached directly is also nice.

Seems fine to me, though i would suggest you don't wait for any immediate response and just leave after giving them this. Also, never bring it up again if you are going to stay their customer and they are not interested/have not contacted you.
Just pretend it never happened, gives them a way out that's not awkward or unconfortable.
