There's a scifi TV series called Severance where memories at work and memories of personal life can be severed, I won't spoil the story but this news of writing code in their sleep sounds just like that.

You have no IDE in your head that checks your code.

You have no space to upload your code towards.

You can only try to remember what weird concept for a code you had in mind and use that, when you actually type down your code.
