“We couldn’t find enough people for our Ponzi scheme, bye”
Just a lil tidbit of news of some web3 based company going away.

embedded marketplaces, user-friendly wallets and seamless NFT purchases
all essential to attracting a mainstream gaming audience
i happen to think that a gaming audience actually might want a good game, but who i am to judge when the people responsible for the game are crypto bros
@baguettefish@swlabr To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand NFT games
Me, a bigly IQ individual: "These games kind of look like dogshit."
It's a hard demographic, people who are able to comprehend your incredibly overcomplicated gaming platform while also not spotting how pointless it all is.
Ah yes, embedded marketplaces are what the mainstream gaming community clamors for
I'm so glad nft died off. Now we can focus on the real web3, which is Web completely devoid of human input, totally automated content generation 24/7, while humans refuge in small fediverse pockets.
occurring to me that this server would be a great spot for a crypto skeptic sub, meme stock skeptic sub, etc
I'm in as long as it has an embedded marketplace, user-friendly wallet and seamless NFT purchases
Oddly, r/buttcoin is still doing well enough that it's one of the few places I still stop by on reddit. Can't say the same for any community still on twitter, dough.
I see I see. well the subreddit is fine, although I'm not a huge fan of going there and seeing slurs
I consider it absolutely in scope for TechTakes given our focus (crypto is just one techfash grift among many) and the composition of our community; we can revisit and maybe split off a community if the volume of crypto shit ever gets overwhelming though
"the evolution of web3 gaming"
Extinction is a kind of evolution in its final form.
I feel like I don't really want to know what the fuck web3 is.
You know how digitally you can copy shit for practically free and that's awesome? what if you thought that was awful
The axiomatic definition of web3 as innovation rings a little hollow in such a farewell message.
In case you need to go back to the same grift you can’t break kayfabe.
