Are we the baddies?

The same principle applies to fascists who say they are not fascists despite doing fascist things. Don't try to discredit their statement word by word; just cut to the chase and discredit their broad worldview with more terse responses. You are letting them play you by nitpicking minutae of their bad faith arguments.
