The minor was working at the plant when their hand was pulled into a meat grinder in 2019.

It's messed up that we have to put a number on body parts for insurance reasons, but it sure should be a hell of a lot more than just over $1k
- Good luck getting your stump of an arm treated for even 10x that amount. Absolutely ridiculous.
At first I thought this was the medical bill and thought "actually for reattaching a hand that sounds pretty reasonable" then I read the article. Gross.
I'm not advocating for violence, but I'm shocked more of these people don't become domestic terrorists. Like if this happened to me, it would likely turn me into some type of real life joker character with nothing to lose. I'd learn to make bombs. I'm shocked more people who get profoundly wronged like this do not do extreme things. Hell, I'm amazed the folks who get cancer or other terminal illnesses that ruin them and their families financially don't suicide bomb some republican politicians.
- I think you're underestimating what people (including yourself) are willing to put up with when you're actually in that position.
