Can we get Linux apps?
I just saw today that there is now a desktop app in beta for Windows and macos. As a privacy conscious person on Linux I am stuck as a second class citizen using proton services because there are no Linux apps besides bridge.
They recently explained that they lack linux developers. They are very much aware of the need to have good linux apps, but they can't find developers

there isn't exactly no linux developers. I get what they mean but I also feel like there is talent out there.
2ReplyWhat they said: "We have no Linux developers."
What Linux users heard: "They're looking for Linux developers!"
What they probably meant: "We don't want to pay for Linux developers."
3ReplyI'm just copying what they were saying on an AMA, see https://phtn.app/post/lemmy.world/9249279
2ReplyTalent that hasn't applied yet or that they haven't scouted out.
