To deal with the rising cost of living, there's nearly 194,000 young people juggling side hustles β the highest it's ever been β with some saying it's "unavoidable".
It's always annoyed me that you see the recommendation to get a "side hustle" to get ahead... when in reality you need that "side hustle" just to afford basic cost of living. At that point it's not a hustle, it's literally survival.
Side note: I saw a post / tweet / comment somewhere that pointed out how depressing the phrase "cost of living" is when you think about it. I wish I could remember it verbatim because I often do think about that phrase and get a bit sad.
