Yep. The only reason we haven't seen anything yet is that Nintendo is building a superdocument detailing how each Pal is a clone of some specific Pokemon.
(Whether the claims are founded or not... There are enough Pokemon at this point that you can say any cartoony animal is a "clone" of some Pokemon)

Can't blame them for being nervous. Also can't wait for Pokemon to get sued by Bandai, the makers of Digimon or Square Enix who made Dragon Warrior Monsters. 🤣
