Isn't Israel occupying the northern part of Gaza? Why would they even bomb a southern city for any reason other than to provoke terror?

They very next day they ceasefire , Netanyahu will have to step down from power , he knows this so he doesn't want to stop until some thing in happens in his favour

Maybe because Hamas terrorists have legs and escaped from the north to the south. They didn't exactly stay in the north and fight away from civilians.
