This release will solve the missing cursor in Steam while using SteamController on Wayland?
3I hope so. It affects everything that is controlled via an xwayland window, including steam input from my understanding
2I don't think so. But there is a workaround utility called extest to emulate the XTest protocol that the steam controller relies on for cursors. I haven't tested it myself, though.
