For anyone wondering: 7th graders are usually 12-13 years old children!
26How can anyone rationalize a child being born under those conditions? This family can't even afford to take a week off from work, and now they have a baby that 100% is going to need government assistance to survive. Oh and pro birthers are working to cut that assistance as well. A whole family destroyed for what? Oh and states with exceptions for rape, health and incest don't have a process to receive those exceptions. So even if you are raped and become pregnant, whelp good luck navigating a process that doesn't exist before your third trimester.

It's really the only way the GOP has been able to survive.

16Too true. What's bonkers is that rules on this vary state by state. You move across state lines, and sometimes it feels like you're in an entirely different country. I used to favor "States' Rights" and flexible, empowered local governments who could respond to nearby challenges more surgically than a larger, more lumbering government bureaucracy further away.
Looking back, I see that now that I was naive, and that what I had was an ideal, and wasn't the reality. Republicans always seem to turn "States' Rights" and "Local Authority" into a way to flout sensible Federal laws and do horrible shit like this instead of what they claim to be doing.

8Whatever, she can't be a parent and has fewer chances to give birth safely at this age. She is a kid and don't deserve such a trap that would cancel her future.
And if you wonder, teens fuck, a lot. And teens are careless. Their lack of life experience and hormones make them do crazy things, no surprise. But at that age they can't legally drink or wote for another 5+ years, can't thoughtfully consent and participate in many things, do they deserve to be victims to some switch of a law done only to serve one group of adults?
This girl could've just making out with her first love, and now she would has fever oportunities than anyone else because someone said she can't put out some biomatter from her vagina in the first weeks. She'd be bullied, she'd desocialized, she'd fail her grades, she'd hardly find her place in life.
And that's where the child, the treasured gift of god, would happen to be born. In a house of misery, scarcity and anger. That's how it should work?
