I hope they fix the game fast man. I wanted to play with my brother, but had nothing but crashes and couldn't complete missions. It ruined our gaming day. The next day I wanted to play but the servers were down for maintenance, haven't had time to play it since and don't want to till they fix it.
My game had a total of 8 crashes in about 10 hours of gaming, so not great, not terrible. My brother had the game crash multiple times per hour. We later found out it's probably to do with him having a 7900XTX videocard and Windows 11. We did try fucking with the settings a lot, tweaking everything we could think off, but nothing helped. We later found out the GPU and OS combination was broken for a lot of people. I was on Windows 10 with a 4070 Ti and it was a lot better for me.
We also had a lot of weird bugs, but that was kinda to be expected just after release. The biggest game breaking bug was the difficulty being totally off, choosing a medium mission and have the game actually be on suicide, or choosing challenging and have the game be on easy. But usually restarting the game would fix this bug. Other bugs were just annoying or funny, but not really game breaking.
I also put in the time to dig up an old 250GB SSD, so I could remove my normal drives and install a clean Windows 10 just for this game and it's bullshit anti-cheat. After playing the game I removed the old SSD and plugged my regular drives back in, so my day-to-day system wasn't fucked by kernel level crap.
Loved the first one for fucking around with friends. I'll maybe pick it up after they add vehicles and we see a bit more of their long-term monetization strategy.
How is CS2's revenue anything else than zero? The game is free. Or is it that they count in-game transactions too? In which case it would make perfect sense.
