Ah yes, young men. That notoriously healthcare obsesses group of individuals that do all they can to drain the system of all its funding. That's the problem.

Edited: Almost none of the things mentioned are new for either the game or how Capcom in general has pretty much always operated.
The one plus side of this whole thing is that I was made aware I needed to clear my shader cache for the game so it runs better, and after checking in game it certainly does.

I dunno, we generally hang out at least once a week and chat more often than that. I guess people don't know how to friendship anymore.
Still sad they didn't localize the rap battle(s) for the dub. They did the laziest possible thing where they left it as is and didn't even bother to subtitle it.
So knowing a disproportionate amount of women who are 5'-10" and over means I must live in the enlightened zone of the 99th percentile.
Instead of going to find it.. I'll just do my best to list it from memory (and it's not going to be complete)
- ammo economy in general was ruined from the first game. The entire 'guardian' legendary weapon set were removed, and most class mods no longer have any ammo regeneration unless certain characters. Lots of guns now shoot multiple bullets per shot, making this problem even worse.
- Backpack space was lowered from the first game, while equippables was increased. Overall space was increased with the bank included.. but not by much. I think the difference is 2.
- The rock, paper, scissors health types first introduced in the general knoxx DLC were really leaned into really hard, which means it's very handy to have a weapon of each element type on your person.
These three were my major issues. It's a LOOTER SHOOTER. I need to LOOT and SHOOT. These three points made it more of a chore to do the base game loop at higher levels, especially considering that most characters had only a couple preferred weapon types. Combining all three points meant I was usually balancing 3 weapons of different types so the ammo didn't overlap with different elements so I could effectively shoot fleshy, shielded, and armored enemies.. and then sometimes slag.
There are some other gripes about the skill trees being overall worse than the first game, the DLC's eluding to the best fights from 1 and being really disappointing (looking at you Crawmerex), and the lack of any real changes in the enemies from the first game. Sure there were plenty of new skins, but the actions didn't change at all.
I'm sure there were more, but these points were enough to show me that the dev team was moving in a direction I wasn't particularly excited to play. The story and most boss fights were way better than 1's. So there was some positive growth, but in terms of overall gameplay I felt that the game was a massive downturn from where I would have liked to see the game go.
I noted the issues with gearbox near the end of the borderlands 2 cycle and put them on my 'I'll buy it when it drops down to under $10 for everything' category.
I have posted a fully compiled list for 2 that put me off further first day spending posted somewhere. I'm sure I could find it if needed.
They don't have any dlc lined up yet so not being to sell you empty promises on top of a normal game price is really tugging at Randy's purse strings.

I distinctly remember playing co-op and having the second player open the map in borderlands 1 while driving around as a pseudo mini map. As much as 'those were the days', I don't yearn for them back.
Now, having various UI elements as toggles I could totally get behind.
The more info that comes out about it, the less I'm interested in it.

I still use my first ever made email address, at this point it's pushing 28 years old. However I have a major problem. I can rarely log into it anymore. There are so many attempts to login to the account daily from whoever out there that wants to gain access that the login is normally locked out for a period of time. At this point I've moved everything of financial value off of it as someone did get access once, but there are still plenty of random little things I'd like to hang on to it for.
I know I can just make a new one and ditch that one as a quick solution, but I figured i'd ask a wider community if they had any insights I might not have. It's a Microsoft account, and my windows is tied to it, but I'm pretty sure I can just migrate that to something new.
Ascendency trial introductory bosses are awful.
I finally wormed my way to the second type of ascendency trial last night, and after a good rest I'm ready to properly vent about both of them.
The first trial is a rogue like dungeon crawl in which getting hit too many times regardless of life totals ends your run. Across the various times I've run it, the stages themselves are not bad. You get to choose your path and hope everything works out with the positives and negatives of the new rooms you come across. The various challenges are also interesting.
However, the final boss is absolutely abysmal to fight against. In a mode where the term honor is used, this thing has several area of effect attacks that aren't visually telegraphed at all. Even it's normal slam attack has a decently sized area of effect.
Whats worse are the various and random effects it also has that spew projectiles all over the place. If you're not fast enough in killing the thing, the battlefield basically becomes a bullet hell. My first clear I spent more ti

Figured I'd ask how everyone is carrying on in a new game.
Personally nearly all my deaths are boss related, a majority being purely based on a one shot kill, or a mechanic I failed to manage/know how to stop.
Outside of bosses, it's just been getting body blocked by the hordes a few times.
Out of all of it, I only felt two of my deaths felt unfair/completely unexpected.
I've died about a dozen times so far and just made it to act 3.

Borderlands is coming to consoles and PC next year.
Borderlands 4 has been announced for 2025. For a multitude of reasons, I'm more than happy to sit idly by and wait for a discounted game of the year edition or similar that includes the entirety of their dlc collection because you know there will be paid dlc. It's borderlands.
So I made a monored commander stax deck to end games quickly, but player removal was too strong.

So I went ahead and converted it into a much more janky izzet deck that gifts my playgroup symmetrical damage triggers so that even when I die, the game continues its downward spiral.
I'm still looking for cards to help me cast stuff both from not my hand, and not on my turn to maximize my commanders potential. Any suggestions are welcome.

11 Magic cards found where the card types include “planeswalker” and (the card is available on Paper) and (the set is “blb” or the set is “blc”)
Of the 11 new printings of planeswalkers, 4 are in the Commander precons, 1 is normally collectible from the set, and the other 6 have the commander set symbol but aren't in the decks.
This means that if you wanted a chance to pull them yourself from packs, you must be opening collectors boosters as they are the only ones with a slot for commander cards.
It feels so scummy of them to not use special guest slot for cards like this. It's not the first time, and it doesn't only affect the planeswalkers. There are some rather pricy rats (marrow gnawer and Ink eyes) also secluded from standard pull tables this way.
Anyone know when this started? I noticed it a year or so back when there was a green commander set card, but no green commander deck, but I cannot recall the card or set.
