"Things are only impossible until they are not."
"Things are only impossible until they are not."
"Things are only impossible until they are not."
This meme is basically the enterprise theme song with less air guitar
I think one of the ideas of Star Trek was that humanity should not have to undergo terrible things in order to finally realize our potential. Rather, I think it was to show that humanity could achieve wonderful things as long as we try to do what's best for us all, righting any wrongs we commit along the way
Until I realized, it is the struggle itself that is most important. We must strive to be more than we are, Lal. It does not matter that we will never reach our ultimate goal. The effort yields its own rewards.
Except ST Discovery, which takes all steps backwards starting from season 3. I mean, it's called STD for a reason..

They were probably wrong.
definitely not. most people around this world are spiritually defeated, constantly being bombarded by reminders that things generally suck. it prevents people from striving for their full potential, because they don't think it'll ever happen.
we're all capable of it, and I truly believe there is a growing movement that isn't directly being publicized. just like this post implies, we'll get there.
People always forget that Star Trek is not only utopian, but also post-apocalyptic.
Indeed. We still need to have our Eugenics War.
It's always important to keep the thought in mind, "what can I do to get the Eugenics War rolling?" Everyone can play their part, no matter how small.
And WW3.
Oh great, more Nazis...
It’s those Romulan temporal agents, trying to prevent the Eugenics Wars and, perhaps, conditions that would lead to the formation of the Federation.
Right, that civilization only made its greatest and most immense leaps during and after times of great duress.
