this year texas started charging a $200 fee on top of normal taxes to register an electric car

- Which is fair. Taxes that pay for roads come from gasoline sales, so a heavier car (that thus wears roads faster) that doesn't pay road taxes is not paying their fair share. Aren't we about fair shares here?

  So you agree Trucks and SUVs should pay more than electric cars then right? It is a scale only based on weight and not bias, to make sure they are paying their fair share?

- I'm by no means a smart person but I don't think they get to decide if they want to or not. Doesn't the federal government and a few other Bodies have to make that decision? Seems like they would have already if they could.
