I’m not an American. Is there an outcome here that would not allow trump to run as president in the next election?
13Not an American either, but my understanding is the only thing that could prevent him from running is if enough state officials declare him ineligible under the 14th amendment, which bans people from holding office if they have taken part or aided in an insurrection against the United States. It's pretty obvious he has, but will any state officials actually argue that? Probably not.
I think everyone is just hoping he doesn't get enough votes.
