Agreed. I care about new solutions to unsolved problems.
I don't care about how to add RGB and crypto micropayments to old solutions.
15And most new technologies (not the bullshit ones you mentioned) are actually not that great either.
New phones are something like 10 times as powerful as my old Nexus 4 from 2012, but their actual real life usability is virtually unchanged. There are some cool features here and there, but I barely use them.
Same is true for computers. My Haswell PC still works perfectly fine. Buying a new machine would have almost zero impact on my life.
