FDev lacked the ability to make Elite a great game. It had lots of potential but ultimately it was just an Ok game. Plus the story moved absolutely glacially. It took an entire decade for them to finally introduce thargoids in any meaningful form, but they dangled it in front of players as "just after the next update" the whole time.
Wait, I thought X4 improved after its rocky launch and a lot of people gave it praise? (Although I recall that it was super clunky and the AI was quite rough)
Fallout 3/ new Vegas (TTW makes it so I can use this as one game lol)
No man’s skys just meditative for me.
Having a hard time picking a third… I did binge valheim for like 150 hours but never played it since. Maybe I’ll say mass effect trilogy.
My answers change almost every day, but for now I'd say:
Hollow Knight
Jak & Daxter series
Demon's souls
None of my top games are RPGs, but I do enjoy them a lot. Loved Skyrim and Fallout 3, looking forward to playing something that hits that same feeling.
The competition for this list is immense however. RimWorld, harvest moon/Stardew valley, Morrowind, starseige tribes, StarCraft brood war, monster train, deadcells and Tetris attack are all vying for any place on that list.
.. I think. Its hard to rank such great games. But these are the ones I don't mind replaying. Which is a big deal because I don't replay games. Or movies. Or anything.
