Second day home alone and I've become an absolute savage
It's day 2 of my 3.5 day stint home alone without supervision.
So far I've left clothes everywhere, traipsed bits of sewing detritus from one end of the house to another, there's ribbon on the bathroom floor and tbh I don't even know why, it's not like I was sewing with ribbon.
I've spent all day in a nightie watching Star Trek*, I've eaten all the sorbet and am eyeing up the mini Twister lollies that I was under strict instructions not to touch. Macaroni cheese sandwiches for tea last night. No regrets.
Why is there a half-knitted jumper on the living room floor? Why not. Might try cutting a load of my hair off later.
And JUST as I write this post, it's just started tipping it down. Maybe the lollies will get a reprieve after all!
What are the most degenerate things you look forward to when you've got the house to yourself? I've got two more days to fill, need ideas.
* why is Captain Kirk telling this young girl how pretty she is. she's like 10, this is creepy af.
The few times my partner and son leave me alone, I tidy the entire house and get every chore done with the goal of being able to do nothing (except walk the dog).
Being able to shower, dress and chill out to my own schedule is heaven. I would probably put star trek, Stellaris or Minecraft on. Maybe.. make a coffee and eat chocolate all day with a book
Ah yes you are like my husband, he always takes the opportunity to clean. Day to day we meet in the middle and run a functional household, but give either of us some alone time and we're straight to our respective extremes 😄
Honestly, respect. Reminds me of the time a batch of carrot cupcakes went wrong and I had to chuck them. Had a massive bowl of cream cheese icing ready in the fridge and ended up eating it all with a spoon at like 3am while playing EVE Online. Ah, good times.
My wife went to Ibiza for a week in May. I went ferral. There were at least 8 dairylea dunker containers on the lounge table at one point. I ate so many crisps I had to hide the packets by putting them straight in the wheelie bin. The fridge and freezer were stocked so I could eat "proper meals" so I had to eat like a week's worth on the last 2 days. No regrets.
