Dave Chappelle fills Netflix special with jokes about trans and disabled people
  • You're right, Dave was born in '73, long past the Boomer cutoff point. Boomer is just another easy target to blame this mindset on but like you say this is something that defies generational gaps. I've met quite a few transphobic millennials/gen z-ers and from what I've seen on youngpeopleyoutube, really young kids are already being poisoned by transphobic social media subcultures.

Reddit now blocks signed out VPN connections.
  • I've heard that Reddit is trying to kill that too so people will use their godawful search feature instead. I got a prompt from the site to take a survey about it sometimes last month and that's what people were theorizing that it was about.

    madela posting
  • That ruins the whole show's continuity, now the episode where Joey is consumed by the infernal smog will just feel like it's coming out of nowhere.

It's just the most 100 recently saved songs. The fuck.
  • I've been listening to music from the 60s almost exclusively on spotify this year. The algorithm is hell bent on me listening to the band "The Smoke". I really don't think a one hit wonder band that broke up in 1976 would be paying to have their music pushed so hard like that.

The Problem with Jon Stewart cancellation highlights a problem for Apple’s content
  • I always remember, when I see Martin Scorsese throw shade at Disney in an interview, that when he made Kundun, the CCP didn't like it and made Disney restrict distribution of the film. Michael Eisner literally hired Henry Kissinger to do damage control afterwards.

Goodbye Youtube and thanks for all the fish
  • I tried to watch a stream uploaded on YouTube and they put adrolls every 5 minutes, for a 3+ hour video. It was unwatchable. Sucks that pretty much every site is fucking over its users lately. Maybe it's a sign I should just get away from the internet for a while.

Reddit Gives Final Warning to Subreddits Using NSFW Protest Tactic
  • I think the next step is to announce privatization of subreddits. Take a week to get all active members approved and then go private until they take the protests seriously or the site just stops growing and dies off

  • I can definitely see him trying to turn Jerry's bathroom into a grow room, or accidentally ordering flower pots when trying to buy online only to try and resell them as ceramic fezzes with Newman.
