atomkraft? kein danke.
so if thats not true, what would you say is true?
up the irons
she took a loaded gun out and pointed it at the windshield. it goes off. says it was an accidential discharge. you believe it. you go and type it on the internet.
yes, taking out your locked and loaded pistol, pointing it at someone with your finger on the trigger and it going off, in your mind, is an accidental discharge
fair enough, thanks for the response.
my 'extra hands' station w/ the two alligator clips to hold the subject, magnifying glass w/ led also has a holster for a hot iron, so I pop the hot iron in that after soldering.
the wire coming from the iron, whether it goes to a battery pack or the 250 eur smart battery is still the hangup for me. I build large things with nicrocobntrollers in them, so I need to soldier in super awkward places. a wire connecting the iron to anything is a massive liability.
Id be interested to hear how you get on with it though
I'm pretty sure the world has essentially (mercifully) forgotten about her
this is fun... its as if you believe people are on lemmy to read extended essays you fart out
I love my ifixit precision screwdriver, so I'd be a fan and would try this out.
The thing is once I switched to a butane iron (portable, hot in 20 seconds, awesome fire) I don't have any interest in anything with a wire coming off of the back of it. battery or no, the wire being in the way is ass and is also crap
edit: maybe it doesnt have a wire?
edit 2: maybe I shoulda read the article before typing? 5 second heat-up time, wow.. seeing as I am a fucking idiot and am also very tired, can someone who is smart tell me if the iron has a battery itself? the pack is for recharging the small battery in the pen?
you know what was well done? the spam slices! heyoooooooo
do you love me
this is a teaching moment I did not expect, but life lessons are rarely scheduled. I thank you from my soul
I ship anything: tony and dr melphi on the sopranos was a big one. more recently I re-watched the wire and I was shipping bunk and rhonda, but it never happened :(
it was fine. a sprinkle of oregano would have gone a long way in the presentation dept
I served these on slices of Ryvita Crispbread with Heinz Ketchup. I burned them whilst outside getting a beer. If you would like to see an image of the plating/service presentation I have uploaded a photo here: https://ibb.co/R3d2LJX
Feedback is very welcome. They were actually OK. I paired them with a Kinnegar Crossroads West Coast IPA (6.2 APV) drank straight from the can at first, I then broke down and got a glass.
Bad Religion announced that they've called off their planned 2024 Fall N. American tour due to 'unforeseen family circumstances.'
The article states Graffin has been the only constant member for the band's tenure makes it sound like its just Dr Graffin plus some hired guns IMO. Jay Bently and Brian Baker would like to have a word about this framing. Burn it down!! Burn down Billboard dot com!!!!!!!!

Last night (September 27), the iconic punks Bad Religion took over The Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, California for the first show of their fall tour. Originally announced in early August, the tour has Bad Religion bringing Speed of Light on a short string of shows that has the two bands on the road until the end of October. The tour follows a busy summer of festival appearances for Bad Religion with the band making appearances everywhere from Tokyo to Australia. With no festival restrictions, the band pieced together a career-spanning setlist for the first night of their fall tour in Ventura.
Bad Religion tore through classics and B-sides for a night that encompassed their storied career. The band kicked things off with “Epiphany” from their 2002 LP Process of Belief, the band also performed “Sorrow” from the LP. The main focus was on albums like Recipe For Hate and Suffer with four songs from each album taking up room in the setlist. The band performed tracks like “American Jesus” and “Skyscraper” from Recipe For Hate and pulled out “Best For You” and “Do What You Want” off of Suffer. The remainder of the tracklist saw the band sorting through their colorful discography, performing songs from classic albums like Noo Control and more recent releases like 2019’s Age of Unreason.
After a thunderous first show in sunny Ventura, Bad Religion is gearing up for one hell of an autumn. Their next two stops have the band staying in California, hitting Riverside and San Diego before heading up the coast to Eugene, Oregon. The band will be on the road until the end of October and hit cities like Denver, Minneapolis, and New Haven. Check out the full list of dates, setlist, and footage from last night’s show below. Asbury Park is the reason. The languid beach community of Asbury Park, New Jersey, has long been a port-of-call for many a disaffected musician from Springsteen at The Stone Pony to countless punk and hardcore festivals at Asbury Lanes and Convention Hall. Against this backdrop of rock and punk hist...
Don’t call it an “All-Star” band or have any illusion that BEACH RATS is anything more than five punk rock lifers in an Asbury Park basement making a riot of their own. “It’s loose, it’s imperfect, don’t overthink it,” says Baker. “It’s the experience of doing it. The time travel, that’s what it’s about.”
