Trump’s indictment has turned every American voter into a juror
  • Pretty par for the economist. Not the same take as every other news outlet, not exactly the take I agree with on all points, but not totally wrong either.

Trump Extremists Make New Calls to Hang Mike Pence: 'Watch His Toes Dangle'
  • Someone pleas explain the mental state of these people if they’re pissed that Pence -by Trump’s own admission- was being “honest” by not handing him the election.

Ideally one that is actually active. I’ve seen one or two that have basically zero posts.

    Thanks!

Whopping 91% of Fox News Viewers Believe Trump Has Not Committed Federal Crimes, But Only 42% Support Him In The Primary
  • I doubt this describes most Fox News viewers. I suspect a majority of them fall into a third category of “blind believers”. Fox News tells them the indictments are a sham, they believe it’s a sham. Especially when it’s sandwiched between two things that make them angry.

Building over garage. Is it worth it?
  • I recently added a bedroom and did some research about cost vs home value added. I think the general takeaway is you probably only get like 80% ROI (or if you spend 100k, it’ll add 80k to your home value.

So the big question is: how much personal value will you get from this room in the meantime? Does it make up that 20%?

War coming to Russia - Zelensky after Moscow drone attack - BBC News
  • Yeah I mean it’s a lot harder to take back your territory if you’re limited to only fighting within that territory. They’ll have to strike within Russian borders to successfully get their own land back.

McConnell’s health scare puts focus on shadow race to replace him
  • Might be hard to find another asshole who’s as ruthless about loopholes and dirty tricks. I’d say there’s a 90% chance that replacing him weakens the republicans.

Fulton County DA says work is done in Trump probe and 'we're ready to go' | CNN Politics
  • I sure hope so, but I learned not to underestimate how cynical they can get. They’ll try to do some really slimy shot before they allow a collapse, and unfortunately the system is rigged just enough that it might work.

  • Im always confused by RGB. I learned that if you want orange, you mix red and yellow. If you want green, you mix blue and yellow, if you want purple, you mix red and blue.

How is it that computers need green and not yellow?

I always learned “ROYGBIV” as the colors of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo, violet.

What’s up with the last two? Isn’t indigo basically just dark blue? Why is it violet and not purple? Can’t it just be “ROYGBP”?

The Lemmy.world hack made a good opportunity to explore other instances out there. Found one based in my area. Back in action!
