All the infighting and out fighting just point to how diseased America is. These problems are absolutely not going away if Trump loses. I bet it gets worse. These people cheering on the disfunction are part of the problem.
I love watching their infighting.
I really hope you're not American. I see some poor child sitting at the top of the stairs cheering on their drunken parents domestic dispute.
Definitely less evil, towards Americans. But they've made vast strides in outsourcing evil through globalization and the military industrial complex.
To the pain.
I think America has been in a deep moral crisis since it's inception; should we be evil, or just a little evil. It's easy to get people to agree to just a wee bit of more evil and here we are 200 years later with the magic of compound interest.
I even saw it on TV!
Seems like a neat thing! Is it $20,000?
I finished today and didnt do too bad, but it didn't record my answers and said I got everything wrong after the second answer. Has that ever happened to anyone else?
I guessed its because the purchase leaves a sour taste in your mouth.
I'm that level of user that will block the ever loving shit out of everything but not do much to make it better. The problem is that once you've blocked everything you have pretty much zero interest in there isn't much left on lemmy. Still better than reddit though.
Sounds like you found your million dollar idea! Now its as easy as cashing all your cheques! Congratulations!
Yes, but I'm talking about mass adoption. Very few users care, they want to scroll through and see stuff they like. They don't want to curate and host and delve into the intricacies. Until such time as someone makes lemmy palatable, the masses won't eat it.
You say surrealism is anti-fascist. Then you say cruelty and absurdity are the same thing (two sides of the same coin). Then you try to clarify by saying they are two separate things but have a commonality (two coins same side). I think ying/yang is more fitting, and quicker to the punch, in that there can be a little cruelty in absurdity and vise versa, which you were dancing around with your ill fitting metaphor. So, yes, I don't think so. Clarity is in the eye of the beer holder.
It was born as a way to funnel public funds into missile research.
Sailing. Boating. Sewing. Those are they tops ones I miss from reddit that had active users. Instead we have 7000 communities for linux and pervy anime.
Probably one complication is that the trucks need to be able to drive while the bed is up in normal operation. They have to move forward while dumping to spread the load.
Lemmy won't catch on until there are groups of communities you can ban at once. Sports, Linux, German, pervy anime... It's a very rare user who will put up with the absolute dreck of the initial feed and manually block communities until they have a feed that's marginally personalized.
Then there's the fact that any communities that are specific to peoples interests are completely empty.

Boeing is for sure a shit show and terribly managed, but I don't think they would blatantly kill guys like that. I think it's far more likely that the first guy did kill himself because he figured everybody would think Boeing whacked him and that would do far more damage to the company than his testimony would. Now any news falls under a suspicious gaze and here we are thinking some other guys unfortunate death is due to nefarious deeds.
Or I'm wrong and Boeing has a CIA division ¯\\\(ツ)\/¯
I've made a few posts, most about sync, but none show up in my profile under 'posts'. Even the ones I made in my own instance. What's up?
Welcome to another sailing community! Hopefully there's some crew around to liven the place up! Anything wind powered goes!
Click logo, miss logo enter thread by mistake, click logo again enter community page, scroll right, click block, confirm block at the bottom of the page.
Why can't we block/subscribe from the hamburger menu on the post? Is it this difficult on purpose? Can we edit out a few of those actions? Blocking communities is a huge part of my lemmy experience.
